In The Green Corner Store & Soda Fountain in the SoMa neighborhood in Little Rock Arkansas, Loblolly Creamery brings a taste of Arkansas to locals and travelers. This sweet treat is handcrafted using fresh products from local farmers, and with flavors like Campfire S’mores and Blackberry Sweet Corn, you’re in for a tasty, memorable scoop. In fact, Loblolly’s buttermilk berry crumble flavor was recently touted as one of the best by Saveur magazine. So belly up to the Lippincott marble bar and order a scoop or two!

If you like ice cream, you’ll love stopping by Leopold’s Ice Cream Shop in Savannah, Georgia, where regular and seasonal flavors have delighted visitors since 1919. Enjoy the usual flavors like Butter Pecan and Mint Chocolate Chip or try something a little unusual, like Tutti Frutti or Chocolate Chewies and Cream. About a 40 minute drive from Assateague Island and Ocean City in rural Maryland, you can visit a dairy farm for the freshest ice cream we’ve ever discovered. Chesapeake Bay Farms makes ice cream from cow to cone. The whole family can enjoying touring the farm and seeing the cows, horses and beyond, before stepping inside their shop for ice cream. #5 Farson Mercantile in Farson, Wyoming

Go big or go home on your next road trip through Wyoming by making sure to make a stop at the “Home of the Big Cone.” We hit it on our drive along N US Highway 191 in Farson between Pinedale and Saratoga and were not disappointed. The scoops are big, so large in fact that on the hot day we stopped here, we really had to lick quickly to avoid a massive meltdown as we sat outside of this family-run ice cream store. Flavors including Huckleberry, Triple Fruit, Lime Sherbet, Moose Tracks and Cookie’s & Cream delight. If you do get a cone and are not a fast eater, grab a cup and a spoon in case you need to unload in a melting emergency.
